In my film class, we're watching Singin' in the Rain, and I love it so much that I think I'm going to run out and buy it tomorrow because we have no class because of a power outage.
Anyway, I absolutely love Gene. He's sexy, a good dancer, and an amazing singer.
Here's a clip of him in (in my opinion) his best number from SITR:

We watched this in film class too, it must be a standard:) I love the film, and I agree that this is one of the absolute best scenes in it.

I never got to watch any classic movies in school or University, mainly because SOME people seemed to think everything before Star Wars was rubbish  However I LOVE Singing In the Rain and I love Gene Kelly. I can't think of any films I don't like him in (well maybe that one with Olivia Newton John). Singing in the Rain must be one of the best stories to be used in a musical, very funny and Jean Hagen is also very funny in it. |

I've always loved Gene Kelly, he was incredible. My absolute favourite film of his has always been Cover Girl (1944) with Rita Hayworth - it's just gorgeous! Love Singing in the rain too, you're so lucky you get to watch great films in class!  |
