I have adored Vincent Price for over 20 years. He is affectionately remembered as the 'master of the macabre', however, he was an incredibly versatile actor and portrayed a wide variety of characters. Some of my favourite Vinnie moments are his comedy roles such as in Champagne for Caesar. He also starred in one of my favourite films of all time, Otto Preminger's Laura. He was not only a wonderful actor but a gentleman with great warmth and a delightful sense of humour. He appeared on many hit TV shows and childrens shows such as Batman, the muppet show and Columbo etc. He was also a writer, art collector, a lovely singer and a gourmet chef. My favourite Vinnie quote has always been, "a man who limits his interests limits his life".

I really like Vincent Price. I love his voice and he came across as an actor who was down to earth and didn't take himself to seriously. I have only seen a few of his films but he was very entertaining, plus he was a friend of my other imaginary bf Peter Lorre and delivered his eulogy so he has a special place in my heart for that reason alone.

I greatly appreciate that he is the voice of Rattigain in "The great mouse detective". With all his traits I would consider him a real renaissance man....
and Peter Lorre For the Win !!!! <3

I love The great mouse detective! He absolutely loved doing that film, he said it was one of his favourite roles. Funny you should say that Mrs. V, I was just watching an interview with Vinnie the other day and he was talking about Peter Lorre. He was incredibly fond of him and had lots of amusing stories to share. Peter Lorre was such a cutie!

Vincent is my second favorite actor ever (the first being Lon Chaney). Like a lot of my favorite actors, he has such dedication and passion to his craft that makes you enjoy their characters even more, even if those characters are horrible people. Plus, I've seen him in interviews. He was such a sweet man!

He was in a Gene Kelly movie. I think it was either THE THREE MUSKETEERS or DUBARRY WAS A LADY. I think he was good.

Gorgeous! I'm bonkers about both Vinnie and Poe, thank you so much for posting this wonderful photo.
I've always wanted to visit Poe's grave and museum, maybe someday...

Wow, that's a great picture of Price at Poe's grave, I've never seen that before.

I'm especially fond of him in his later years, for some reason. He breaks my heart in Edward Scissorhands - I just love what Tim Burton did with his character. And his rap in Michael Jackson's Thriller is amazing considering he spoke the lines without the music, yet somehow when they mixed it in, it all fell neatly into place with the rhythm of the song. And yes he seemed to be a delightful gentleman. I upped this interview on YouTube a few years ago (shot in the mid-80's by a French TV crew - quite rare). Lovely anecdotes

I have watched this interview many times, Nordenwald. I can consider it one of those lovely rare gems one occasionally finds on youtube. Vincent just comes across as such a decent, friendly and quite humble man.
