The great Alfred Cheney Johnston did a few tasteful nudes of Barbara Stanwyck in the mid-1020s. I hesitate to post them here because this is a family board, but the photos are readily available through a google image search. (I assure you they are very artistic, just like the ones he did of Norma Shearer.) Instead, I'll post a link to a picture of A.C.J. himself. (BTW, he looks exactly like me, at least the way I looked ten years ago.)

Ruby never really lost her Brooklyn accent. She kept it under control most of the time but can hear duh toity poiple boids if you listen closely enough. I think it's most noticeable when she took on roles that weren't centered around Gotham, like in The Big Valley.
But this lady could act, accent or not. The scene in Ball of Fire that takes place in the darkened motel bungalow is an acting tour-de-force, even though you can only see Babs' eyes and even though Gary Cooper does all the talking. Marvelous. ...and then there's the ending of Meet John Doe!
