Donald O'Connor was great, especially in Singing in the Rain. Am I perhaps being a bit dramatic when I say that he was yet another talent the studios didn't always know how to utilise?

I remember seeing him in a tribute to Debbie Reynolds and he seemed like a very nice, decent man.
