The classic Brit sitcom, The Young Ones was first broadcast 30 years today!!!  This was an early favourite of mine, even though O'm pretty sure that I shouldn't have been watching it. Their single that I used to find hilariously funny... must have been about six  Probably the most famous episode"Bambi" or rather the University Challenge episode which has so many "before they were famous" faces in it= |

This series did make it to the US and it acquired a kind of cult following. But it was a small cult--if that's not redundant--even among cultish Britcom fans like yours truly.

Didn't the little guy end up as Eddie's ex-husband on Absolutely Fabulous? Yes, Woofy, Christopher Ryan played one of her ex husbands in Ab Fab, I love that show. Jennifer is married to the lovely Adrian Edmondson, who played Vyv in The Young Ones. I saw her in London this year, remarkable lady. |

Oh how I love The Young Ones!! ;D
This has always been one of my favourite shows and was instrumental in turning me into a huge fan of The Damned. They made a guest appearance in the episode Nasty, one of my favourite ever episodes. I've met The Damned a few times and the singer David Vanian is still utterly gorgeous. Sorry, it had to be said.
The cast of The Young Ones was amazing and I love so many shows and films they have each done since. Great stuff!
