I was happy to see him bury the hatchet with Jerry. Very sad about his son. I don't think Dean ever recovered from it.

Agree woofy. I still enjoy hearing his music.
Jerry Lewis is just wonderful for his age and the work he does for charity

Agree woofy. I still enjoy hearing his music. Jerry Lewis is just wonderful for his age and the work he does for charity I was shocked to see that the MDA dropped Jerry as host of their annual Labor Day telethon. Considering the hundreds of millions of dollars he raised in their name, I thought it was a really low blow.

Don't know whether I have this right but I think I read where the telethon went on without Jerry raising $61.5 million, more than the previous year with Lewis and included a filmed tribute to him and warm words of thanks from various participants during the show. But no Jerry.

But no Jerry. You do have it right. However, those amounts are never adjusted for inflation. They've actually been pulling in less than they used to, and that was true for the Jerry years as well. The film tribute was a kind of slap in the face from Jerry's point of view. He was broken hearted because they just dropped him. They must have felt he was "past it," but he didn't share that opinion.
