Thank you for posting these articles Mrs. V. , the interview with Dwight David was very good. It's a shame he didn't have his father there growing up, and get to know him. As for letting the temper out at times, that's probably due to Dwight's frustration with Hollywood. If only he had been able to move the family back to NY, perhaps he could have transferred from Douglas to another company while going back to Broadway. But he probably didn't want to uproot Buddy from his school and friends .

I love this article! I actually ordered it back in 1996 and have had it in plastic ever since. Before DFLL this was the most personal info I could gain on him and I slobbered over this, LOL!

Hey Leah, nice to see you back. Yes, this is a great article and in all honesty I forgot that I had it until I was tidying out my front cupboard and saw it stored in my magazine box, which was a box I actually forgot I had. In the past two years my brain has turned to pulp and this is the proof. We had been discussing this interview recently and his use of the "David" in his name, as this is how it appears on the 1940 census.
