I found this about Peter in the Quintessence Book, 501 Movie Stars and I'm happy to say Peter is one of the few "stars" to have a double page. Nothing new here, but still scanned and shared.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Mrs V. This piece is new to me and I'm glad I got to see it. I love the word 'rotund'. I have to admit that I loved it when Peter was a little heavier, he looked so cute and cuddly. I adore I was an adventuress so I liked that they gave it a nice little mention.

Glad you liked it Violet. I'm torn between early Hollywood Peter and his dapper, slimmer early Warner Brothers period. One way or the other the man is sex on legs, IMHO

I totally agree. For me personally, I think he was utterly adorable in early films like Was Frauen traumen and I think he looked amazing around 1940. I feel faint when I watch You'll find out. But yes, at any age and any weight, Peter was always beautiful.
