Little was known about Dwight during WW1. In DFLL, it is mentioned that Dwight was too young for service however, I alway wondered if he ever was called up or enlisted and today while searching for the Fry Denver address through the census, I stumbled over this.

Isn't it? A carry on to join, but worth it for this alone.
I don't think I've ever seen Dwight's FULL signature, the Iliff included. It was less than two months before the Armistace, so there just wasn't the time for him to leave.

What a fantastic find, Mrs. V.! I love Dwight's handwriting . Also interesting to note that Dwight had already added the "e" to Frye. I thought this would have been much later on.
