I live 350 miles from the final resting place of Dwight Frye and I have been fortunate enough to visit him on more than one occasion. Here is a photo of his marker. It really is a beautiful, peaceful place. I hope to be able to visit again soon. Attachments:

Oneday I hope to pay my respects but not sure how I'd feel, probably quite sad actually.

I imagine that for me the experience would be highly emotional. Moving, yet sad as well, happy and grateful to finally be there, but forlorn to know that he is gone and was gone too soon.

It's interesting to be there. That's the best word I can come up with. Because there's this giddy feeling that you found him (and believe me that place is HUGE) but then it's sad because it is his final resting place, and you know he should not have died that young and you also know this is the exact spot his loved ones stood in as he was buried. So it's definitely a mix. Overall there is a general sense of peace though that I've always picked up on.

I live in California. I'm in New Hampshire right now, but maybe soon I'll make the 2-hour drive from San Diego to Glendale so I can pay my respects.

It's my aim to get out there one day and visit Dwight's resting place. Though I would have to remortgage my house to do that at the moment

Liz, it's worth the drive. on Findagrave.com it tells you the plot location. Here's a tip if you go, find the section then ask a landscaper (if they're around) for the plot number. That's how I found him. The people at the gate are not going to give any info unless you get lucky, ESPECIALLY since Michael Jackson was buried there. They've always been notoriously tight lipped about giving out details but that turned it up a notch.
