This coming Monday will be the sixty-eighth anniversary of Dwight's passing and I was wondering if anyone will be doing anything to remember him. As always, I will be leaving flowers at "find-a grave" as well as lighting a Rememberance candle but I was wondering if someone could post the links because I've lost them. (I'm borrowing hubby's laptop at the moment). Weather permitting, I MAY once again light a lantern in rememberance.

I generally create a video remembrance every year, unfortunately I do not think that I will be able to this year. The anniversary is Monday, and I haven't even started working on anything. I may link to past tributes here at the board, as well as visiting find a grave and gratefulness. I may also light a real candle here at home in his memory.

I'm going to listen to the Rolling Stones' "Shine a Light" in honor of a great, great man.

I posted this on my journal, and thought I'd share. Just an image I had of our wonderful Mr. Frye, I hope you like it Dwight *HUGS AND KISSES*.
Dwight,
dressed in white tie
and tails,
quietly sits on a plush armchair
set in the middle of a darkened stage.
With only a spotlight
shining upon him,
Dwight smiles warmly.
He then blows an affectionate kiss
out to the audience,
and through misty eyes
the Original Method Actor softly says
a humble "Thank You".

You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he lived, You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared, You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on, You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your back, Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Wonderful tributes, and here is mine. RIP Dwight. You were, still are, and ever shall be sorely missed.
(Luna, it'd be cool if you could make a tribute with this song)

A beautiful poem and image Mrs. V. They were so lovely, I know that Dwight would cherish them. I also loved the song you posted Liz, it would make a nice tribute video. The song is lengthy though and my time seems limited at the moment, but I will certainly keep it in mind if and when I do have free time to create another Dwight video. I wish that I could have made one this year- I had an Ink Spots song picked out for it, but I just didn't have the time so I had to simply post a few videos here that I had made prior to this anniversary. Well again, if I find the time perhaps I will make it anyway, even if the day has passed.
