Does anyone know where to get a good copy of this movie? I'm interested in seeing this because Dwight played a good guy and out of all the parts he had, he was billed the highest here.

Hi Matt, I really like The Crime of Dr. Crespi. It is available from Amazon.com. Dwight is wonderful in it and I always enjoy Erich Von Stroheim's performances. Hope you enjoy the film!
BTW, Ebay and iOffer are great places to find old films, especially some of the more elusive titles.

If you look about online it can be downloaded because it's public domain. There's not really a good crisp copy because it's not one that's been cleaned up and it was obviously pretty low budget.
Dwight does play a good guy, but for some reason most of the characters don't like his character which annoys me because this is never explained.
Apparently this film was also the first film to be ever broadcast on American Television in, I think, 1939.

Wouldn't it be great if Dwight ever played a mad scientist?

He sorta did in "Phantom Raiders". Speavy isn't stark raving bonkers, but he is slightly eccentric.
