I'm at the moment working on a tribute poem for Dwight Frye. It's called The Thousand-Watt Stare.

Just a quick question btw. I've been doing some research on Dwight. Does anyone know who owns his likeness (if anybody does)? I know that his son died in 2003, but he didn't marry or have any kids.

Not as far as I know. I don't think an official estate exists for Dwight, if that's what you mean. Certain images, probably belong to the studios, but I don't think anyone would own his likeness.

That's what I meant, yeah. That's really sad to hear though.
The reason I ask is because I plan on getting the poem published into a comic book eventually.

Welcome to the forum ! I too, can't wait to read your poem. I wrote one for Dwight called The Infinite Star, posted two years ago on the anniversary of his passing.

Thanks!
It's very much similar to Tim Burton's short film Vincent, but mine is of course about Dwight.

Oh I love Vincent! I saw it when I went to see A Night Before Christmas. If memory serves I preferred it to the feature. I can't wait to see the poem and hope it does get published!

Thank you Mrs. V! I actually performed a condensed version of the poem for my acting class a month ago. I'd post up the photos from my Facebook but the site's not allowing me to post them up.

At the moment, I have a bad case of writer's block. That's the worst disease you can get as a writer. Hopefully it'll go away soon so I can continue on with TTWS.
