My wonderful Canadian partner got me completely hooked on these guys when we were in Toronto.
For anyone who isn't familiar with the name, The kids in the hall are a Canadian sketch comedy troupe. They were huge in the 90s and their sketches are still shown in North America. Their influences include Monty Python, The Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton etc, so of course it was love at first laugh for me.
