With singing Mounties and counterfeit bills being smuggled inside rainbow trout in blocks of ice, this certainly is an unusual film. Personally, I actually think it's quite an enjoyable film. Dwight plays an enthusiastic desk clerk and it is wonderful to see him in a light-hearted role. Sadly, it's not a huge part but as always, he did a fantastic job. I wish he had been given more roles like this one. No whip and no gun, just Dwight being charming and demonstrating yet again how versatile an actor he really was. For anyone who perhaps hasn't seen this 1937 film and would like to, the entire film can be watched below. If you want to just watch Dwight, he can be seen at around 13:00 and 41:05 minutes.

Again this is not a film I have seen all the way through so it's a fabulous find. Dwight is a teeny bit too prissy in this film for my liking, which IS a delightful change of pace but it might not have done his career any favours.
