"Man to man" will be officially released through the Warner's Archive collection. This collection restores long lost vintage films, and writes the files to a region free DVD-R format, so everyone should be able to purchase and view this, regardless if you live in the U.S. or the U.K. I know that most members have already seen this film, however for those who have not, and simply because the official release of a Dwight film is very big news and something that we do not see often enough, I thought to post this to the board. You can see Warner Archives' preview here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw1608yem8I

Thanks for letting us know Luna. This is the kind of thing I tend to never find out and it is HUGE news. This will be the first official DVD release since the rather disappointing "Adventure in Sahara".
It really is worth the price if you have never seen this film. Dwight as Vint is absolutely heart-breaking.
Thanks again Luna.

This is so exciting! I love Man to man, Dwight's performance was just incredible. I noticed it in the TCM web store the other day and did a double take. I can not wait to own this official release. Thanks so much Luna for sharing the details and the clip, it looks so clean and perfect! Wonderful news.

Good Lord and Gravy, this is wonderful news! I wonder if they'll give Dwight top billing like on the Beware of Ladies and The Wayne Murder Case dvds? That would be great !

Just received my copy this morning! On the back cover it says, "This early talkie's many charms include the great Grant Mitchell and a terrific turn by under appreciated character actor Dwight Frye (Dracula's Renfield). Very well said! I have to force myself to do some studying today but can not wait to watch this official release tonight. So excited!! Let the swooning commence. ;D

You got your copy quite quick Violet. Very nice description regarding Dwight. Shame it has taken a Hollywood studio 80 years to admit D. was under appreciated . What's the cover like? Does it have Vint looking envious and sexy?

Yeah, I was really happy to see that nice description - finally! Here's the cover, Mrs V... Sadly not like the Wayne Murder Case dvd, Monk's Moll, his name isn't even listed in the main billing on the cover... only in the narrative. I'm so delighted that we have it now, the picture quality is great and it's such a wonderful film. Dwight was amazing as Vint.... and incredibly cute too.

Yes! One of the best shots, looking very smouldering and yummy. Dwight's name isn't on the cover but neither is anyone else so that's not too bad.

"See MM look at dvd cover. Look, MM, look! See MM drool. Drool, MM, drool! See MM lick computer screen. See MM's husband walk into room and catch her. Bad, MM, bad!" *See MM explain, "I, I couldn't help it, I was driven by the awesome awesomeness that is Vint Glade!", as husband pries her drool-covered fingers off the monitor*
