The other day I watched a documentary about the original 1960's line-up to Fleetwood Mac and ever since I have been listening to Peter Greens Man of the World, which is possibly one of the most moving songs I have ever heard and the electric guitar is beautiful.

Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich. Say that ten times fast:) They were a British band from the 1960's who apparently didn't make it overly big in America, but who rivaled the success of "The Beatles" in England. They have a very ethereal and surreal sound in many of their songs. And, watch the video, this is just plain weird stuff and I love just plain weird stuff:)

I was just watching a tribute to Gerry Rafferty who died earlier this year and I have to say I forgot how much I enjoy his music!

For some reason, I can picture Dwight making a YouTube video of himself dancing to this song.

The Applejacks covering a song written by Ray Davies of The Kinks, who was an absolute genius in so many ways.

I love The Kinks, I think they are not as remembered as so many other sixties bands. Last year, I considered making a Dwight video using "Dedicated Follower of Fashion" because I LOVE Dwight's style.

Oh that would have been an amazing video Mrs. V:) I agree that The Kinks are not as well remembered as some, and they DEFINITELY should be. Their ability to tell stories through song with so much color and whimsical lyrical inspiration is just astounding to me. I love them.
As for The Applejacks, they were a 1960's band who were not too bad. Pretty much mid-tempo pop. But their cover of this Kink's song is just amazing and one of their best.
