Wow! Excellent find! Thanks for sharing. I always wondered who was buried next to Dwight. It's a shame that he wasn't able to be placed at rest with any family.

It is a shame he wasn't buried with his family. I suppose at the time they could probably only afford one burial plot, and Laura was still so young at age 44 she probably had no idea what else was going to happen in her life. And then she did end up getting remarried and moving to Maine, which is where she is. Dwight D. is there too, with her I believe. I don't know where Dwight's mother is but it's probably safe to assume she's wherever Dwight's father ended up, which I would guess is Denver.

Yeah I always assumed that they just didn't have the ready cash to afford more than one plot, seeing how unexpected Dwight's passing was.
