Excellent Limey. I have never seen this exact image before. AND isn't it nice to see Dwight right up there at the front with the two stars, rather than shoved into the background as usual.

Yes, Mrs. V. Dwight looks like he's one of the stars in this photo. And yes Leah it is a beautiful shot of our Sweetie! I'm in your neck of the woods right now Mrs. V. Me and the hubby are visiting family in Wiltshire. I guess that is kind of a long way from "your neck of the woods".

It didn't sell and now it's back up. Perhaps if you're interested you could contact the seller. Pics aren't worth a great deal, money wise, unless they're original. I think this is a high price for this pic, perhaps you could talk him down.

limey, I'm about 300 miles away, so closer than the majority of members on the board . endo, I don't tend to buy photos for this very reason. It is pricey and I do think, where Dwight is concerned, that people just think if it is a rare image they can slap a top notch price tag on the photo. There are collectors out there and some original Dwight memorabilia has gone for staggering prices, especially autographs. I tend to avoid such transactions, because it annoys me that people make so much money off him now, but he was criminally unappreciated when he was alive. I know that this is a familiar story with so many artists.

It's a shame that lot of the greats were under appreciated while they were still active. I think a lot of the older stars suffered through that. Lugosi was treated terribly as were The Three Stooges. It wasn't until later that it was recognized how brilliant they actually were in their fields. Sad.
