The other day on Facebook, I noticed that a Dwight fan posted for information about a new Dwight biography that has been released in the past year. I responded that as far as I was aware the only actual biography that is available "Last Laugh", but he responded with he had seen something new in a library search. I was wondering if anyone knew or had heard anything about it? A google search turned up nothing, but when I looked on Amazon I noticed this book, "Forgotten Stars" by David K. Bowman contains a chapter about Dwight. As it is reasonably priced and contains a few interesting chapters on other stars of the "Golden Age" of cinema, I have ordered it. Not sure it will tell us anything new about Dwight, but it is a newest item that has been made available for a while. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1475079893/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It would be interesting to see if anything new were to turn up. I would imagine Mr. Coughlin and Mr. Mank pretty much covered everything, especially as they had Dwight D.'s assistance;but it also would be pretty cool if new info came to light .

I didn't really bother replying because there was nothing new to report. The Dwight chapter basically is a shortened version of Coughlin/Mank book. Interesting to note that David K. Bowman did not site "DFLL" as one of his sources in the bibliography. Also at the back there is a photo section, featuring the various subjects of the book, except Dwight.
I can't regret purchasing the book as there are other "Forgotten Stars" that I am sure are worth reading about, but I wouldn't suggest buying it purely for Dwight.
