Sophia is one of my all-time favourite actresses. She is a strong, intelligent, compassionate, strikingly beautiful lady with a fabulous sense of humour. This wonderful video shows clips from some of my favourite films of hers.

Those are amazing photos! I love those ones in the garden. I agree that she was and still is a very beautiful woman. I didn't understand her appeal for a long time, but now I'm older I think I can see why she as so admired. Many of her costars seemed to have fallen for her, famously Cary Grant and Peter Sellers. Sellers claimed to have had an affair with her and though she never denied it, I'm not sure that really happened. Anyway I scanned some photos I have.

One of Loren's songs with Sellers, she actually has a lovely voice:

She was strikingly beautiful, she's beautiful now at 78. After reading through this thread I decided to go do some research on her and was surprised at how many movies she's actually done.
As of 2010 she was still active on screen starring in an Italian mini series that year, La Mia Casa È Piena di Specchi or My House Is Full of Mirrors.
She has said that she would act again if the right part came along. A true legend in the film industry.
