Two stills from early Valentino films. Both from Universal Studios in 1918. The first is from "A Society Sensation" where RV plays the son of a "wealthy scion of society" who falls in love with the daughter of a fisherman. The film was so successful that Valentino was once again paired up with his leading lady and director for "All Night". Both movies are considered farces, so should be of interest to anyone that believes Valentino was just the "latin lover".

Though Rudy definitely made better films, A society sensation is an enjoyable little film. I don't think the film has been uploaded to YouTube in its entirety but this lovely fan video includes a few clips from it.

Good video... when Rudy Met Kylie ! He looks quite sweet here, more "boy next door" than legendary sex symbol.

I just got a "Cobra" dvd for my birthday, wonderful film of his with the enchanting Nita Naldi . Rudy showed what a wonderful actor he was, he could do comical and dramatic very easily.
