I think it's touching that after Hardy's death, Stan Laurel refused to do any more movies. I knew they were really good friends, but I had never heard this.

And Stan continued to live in a very modest apartment in California. He was always very generous with his time and never turned down any artists who sought his aid. Stan was a great gentleman.

Great video, thanks Woofy. I think they both come across so modest and slightly embarrassed by all the fuss, which I find endearing. I know that Stan was in the phone book and many younger comedians would visit him. It's also nice to see them as themselves as Stan and Ollie were obviously close. I agree Endo, there are not many performers that would do that.
