I know it's early but Autumn is approaching and I'm getting so excited about it. One of my favourite films to watch during Autumn is Arsenic and old lace. In all these years it has never failed to put a smile on my face and I can't get enough of Dr. Einstein. I just adore this film. Any other fans out there?

It's too bad they couldn't get Boris Karloff to reprise his stage role for the film. It would have made the Jonathan/Monster gag all the more poignant. (Not that Raymond Massey isn't good, however.)

I agree. Raymond Massey was great in the role but it would have been magical with Boris. I would have loved to have seen Boris' performance on stage, I'm sure it was an incredible experience being part of that audience.

I would have loved to have seen Boris' performance on stage, I'm sure it was an incredible experience being part of that audience. O'Hara says, "Gee, Sarge, do I have to go in the basement with him. He looks like Boris Karloff." That line in itself would have justified Boris' presence in the film.

I had the honor of playing Dr. Einstein in my school's production last year, and it was amazing! It was even the part I auditioned for!
