Ah, the great Nordenwald. She was a member of the Lorrelist for awhile, but she fell victim to "the red scare." A great pity, imho. I love her videos.

That is a shame! I never knew what happened to her because she uploaded some real beauties and she has been quiet a long long time.

I have to say there are so many lovely people that are fans of Peter Lorre that have been silenced. I set this up as a public haven and my co-admin and I are keeping a close lookout because is banned.

Oooh! Such nice comments about my vids, so long after they were made, how cool is that? And in a thread of their own, too... I just had to join! What is this amazing place and why haven't I seen it before? I stumbled upon this forum yesterday when I googled my video - just... out of idle curiosity. I know I'm a year late but I just had to comment 

So many interesting topics here too, I look forward to reading more of it! As for the vids, I'm only sorry I made them when I had crappy copies of the movies to take clips from - the quality makes me cringe now. Ideally I'd like to make a Peter Lorre with an attitude Redux version, with good quality clips. Cause funnily enough, after I "fell victim to the Red Scare" (haha, I didn't even know "it" had a name ) , it sort of showered my enthusiasm for making vids, so I redirected my energy trying to put together the most complete collection of PL films, in the best quality possible. Took about 2 years, and I made it (thank god for private trackers). Now I have them all. Well almost. But those I don't have, nobody has   (Les Requins du Pétrole, anyone?) I remember near the end I got to the bittersweet point where I realized: "omg, after I get this I will NEVER see something new with Peter Lorre again". Of course there's always the odd curiosity coming out of nowhere, like the What's My Line clip that emerged a few years ago - a little gem - but it's rare.

Anyway all this to say, this place looks great, look forward to contributing. Especially to the very interesting George Sanders thread I saw earlier (had quite a few GS vids on my YouTube channel as well, nearly all of them were taken down for copyright reasons).

It's absolutely fantastic to see you here. Big fan of your videos I have witnessed so much fighting within this fandom and that's why I decided to incorporate Peter into what was initially a Dwight Frye fan board. I don't have a huge knowledge on all things to do with Peter Lorre, but I just wanted one place where this drama wouldn't happen. It is quiet, but maybe that's a good thing.

I have still a bit to go before I see all of Peter's performances, but I can understand what you mean. I pretty much own or have seen pretty much everything Dwight Frye ever did on film and feel a bit meh as a result. Two titles still elude me, but I think I'll never find them.

It would great to resurrect the George Sanders thread. I know very little about him, other than internet reading and watching many of his films. I have tried to purchase his biography a few times, but it is really quite expensive, especially if one doesn't work.

Regarding the George Sanders autobiography, it's an absolute must-read, so well-written and funny... so sad that it's so hard to find really.... wow I just did an online search, I had no idea the prices for this book had gone crazy. I got mine when it was still affordable. Should have bought more than one... I'll visit the Sanders thread in a bit, but I wanna babble some more about Peter Lorre in this subforum first
