OK, you need a magnifying glass to see the review for sitting Pretty but I thought I would share this casual photograph of the cast of Sitting Pretty. This is possibly my best find which I discovered in a book about PG Wodehouse.

This is seriously one of the best finds EVER. (Right up there with the honeymoon bathing suit solo shot.) I'll never get tired of looking at it.

Oh Mrs V, this is incredible, what a find! I had seen this adorable photo of Dwight before but it was cropped and I had no idea that PG Wodehouse was in the original! My partner is obsessed with PG Wodehouse, he's his hero. It's the first time I have seen him excited about a photo of Dwight. He liked his spats. Thank you so much for sharing this!

I decided to share the songs Dwight would have sung in "Sitting Pretty". Obviously, none of these songs are sung by Dwight, but it gives you an idea of the songs. Three were already on youtube and I uploaded Mr & Mrs Rorer. And the "Sitting Pretty" video, don't like the anecdote at the beginning. Personally think it's B.S. www.newworldrecords.org/linernotes/80387.pdf

I'm sorry, Mrs. V., I thought I left a comment for these songs and realized I hadn't *slaps head*. Thank you for posting these video. I pictured Dwight singing, just trying to imagine how wonderful he must have sounded . I also like the caricature of him in the top video, it's so cute!

I forgot to add, I agree about the anecdote being B.S. It was so uncalled for and sounds rather catty, instead of clever. Queenie Smith was the one who mentioned it in a book on Jerome Kern and quite frankly, why did it have to be said at all? Why wasn't it just left as the song was cut? It comes across as childish, trying to have a laugh at Dwight's expense. He doesn't need to be remembered like that where this play is concerned. Obviously Queenie didn't like him very much, for her to have said such a mean thing.

I will look over the notes later on, I promise ! It's ok, MM. In all honesty, I am considering closing this section because not many people seem that interested in it Infact really have to reconsider much of this board.
