I LOVE Lon Chaney Jr. relaxing with the doggie, and the shots of Boris and Colin having tea. You're right, Bela with Bela Jr. is very adorable and I would think a very rare shot too!

I just love these shots because you tend to see more than you do with the standard profile. The Frankenstein shots are good because it reflects the stories of James Whale running a very "English" set with tea breaks etc... just wish there was some of Dwight.
The shot of Bela with his son that I tried to post before was actually him as Dracula and he had signed it for Bela Jr.

These are fantastic Violet. I'm loving Bela's cap As much as I enjoy the movie Ed Wood, one thing that grates on my nerves is the implication that Boris and Bela hated each other because from as far I know that was not true according to their children. Also don't like the idea that no one was at Bela's funeral other than Ed Wood and associates. I know that both Vincent Price and Peter Lorre were definately there as well as Bela's family.

Thanks so much Mrs V. I like Ed Wood but I don't like those elements either. When asked about his relationship with Bela, Boris is reported to have said that they had different lives and tastes and that they didn't socialize, theirs was a professional relationship. But he went on to say that he had warm recollections of Bela as a fine actor. While I don't think they were the best of friends, I don't believe they hated each other either. There is a long list of inaccuracies in the film, which were apparently intentional as Tim Burton said it wasn't meant to be a documentary... a bit frustrating for horror fans though!
