Thank you so much for the warm welcome. It's lovely to meet you all, I love it here already! Hi MM, I love return to Glennascaul, it's wonderful! I visit Dublin a few times a year and like to visit the Gate Theatre where Orson made his stage debut. The third man is one of my all-time favourite films so a few years ago I spent my birthday in Vienna visiting the third man museum and riding on the ferris wheel, grinning like an idiot. Delighted to meet a fellow Orson and Dwight fan! Mrs V., thank you so much for the lovely comment and the pretty rose pic. It's so nice to meet a fellow Brit who loves Dwight!!

Hello everyone. My name is June (like the month) a.k.a "Revolver". I became a Dwight fan this past October when I (for the first time I think) -really- watched "Dracula". I mean I have seen it many times before but something shifted this October and I just suddenly got very interested in old horror films. I have always been fascinated by the macabre (zombies, ghosts, vampires...) and it was Dwight's Renfield that hooked me in. And I mean -hooked-. I ordered DFLL for my Christmas gift to myself and began taking note of all the movies I could see with his presence in it- no matter how brief. I am an animation student in New York City and he appears in my sketchbook constantly. My boyfriend gifted me a Fritz action figure from "Frankenstein" for Valentine's Day, and he sits atop my dressed.
Aside from seeing his remarkable performances in the horror films, it pains me a great deal that I will never get to see him on Broadway. That is my greatest sorrow right now.
I am beyond ecstatic to see that there is a fan forum for this genius man, and even more so pleased that it is composed of eloquent, considerate, enthusiastic individuals from all across the world!

Hi June, it is so lovely to meet you! It was Dwight's performance as Renfield that got me addicted too. He is truly the most incredible actor I have ever seen. It breaks my heart that Dwight was so under appreciated in his lifetime. If only he could have known how adored he is. I feel exactly the same way about wanting to see him on Broadway, that would have been amazing. That was so sweet of your boyfriend to buy you Fritz! I'm new here too and I absolutely love it. I'm so excited to meet another horror fan and especially a Dwight fan! Welcome!

Glennascaul has to be one of the best scary movies ever! That and Dead of Night, which Mrs. V. turned me on to . Part of my ancestry is Irish, so it was pretty cool watching R.T.G. . I liked The Third Man too, excellent movie !

Hi Violet, So nice to see another new member on the boards. You're in good company if you're looking for Dwight fans. We're all pretty smitten with him too!!! ;D I'm also a fan of Lon Chaney Sr, Boris Karloff and Buster Keaton. Hi Limey, thank you so much. I'm so happy I found this place! I think my partner is delighted too, his ears can finally get a rest from me waffling on about Dwight. lol. Lon Chaney was a genius! Handsome too. ;D I think my Chaney favourites would be The Penalty, The unholy three and Laugh, clown, laugh... just incredible.

I agree about Lon - very handsome man. ;D I think my favorite films were Tell it to the Marines and Ace of Hearts. I love the scene in Ace where he is on the street in the morning with the dog. Absolutely heartbreaking.
