Well as I started this I guess I should get the ball rolling. My name is Carrie, I'm 31 and live in Scotland. I am married to Alan, have a baby boy, Joel aged 4 months and a cat called Toto. I love read, writing and watching old movies.
From a young age I was a fan of the Universal Horror series and always admired Dwight Frye's performance. However in the past five years I've really become a true fan, this has manifested in my work on youtube videos, writing countless blogs and fanfictions. I've been a member of a few Frye appreciation commumnities and thought I would attempt to create one myself where serious fans can discuss this wonderful actors life and work.

I'm Leah and I live in California. I became a Dwight Frye fan at the age of 14, when my cousin showed me Dracula and Frankenstein for the first time. I was pretty much instantly a huge fan, which quickly grew into "obsessed". (Yeah, I'll admit it.)

I saw Dwight in Dracula years ago and was more struck by his performance than Bela Lugosi's. Renfield has become more the gold standard in side men than Igor as far as I am concerned.
I was reminded of Dwight when the Dracula take off (Dead and Loving It) with the late Leslie Nielsen and Peter MacNicol as Renfield, came out. It was so obvious that Peter was often paying tribute to Dwight and maygbe even introducing him to a whole new audience. It made me want to go watch Dracula all over again.

Basically I already described how I became a Dwight fan in the thread "How did you become a Dwight fan" here on his Proboard, so I won't repeat myself now:) I'll just do a brief introduction. My name is Gabrielle- username Luna- I am thirty one years old and I live near the city of Chicago in the state of Illinois. I majored in theater while at college, and I absolutely love the arts. I am addicted to classic film and a wide variety of music and while I have been a Dwight fan for a long time I have only been active in his on-line fandom for a little over three years now. I am very happy to be here and very grateful to Carrie for creating this amazing community to honor our beloved Dwight.

My name is Anna-Kaisa (but you can call me Anna if you like ;D ), I'm 19 years old and I live in southern Finland. I study business IT in a university of applied sciences in Hämeenlinna. Studying keeps me very busy, so I may not be able to visit this site as often as I'd like to

I'm Elizabeth, aka Monk's Moll (yes, THAT Monk ), and I'm 50 years old. I became a Dwight fan *ahem, love slave, ahem* back in 2008 when my better half gave me a copy of DFLL. I have been in love with Mr. Frye ever since. I think his wife Laura is one amazing woman, and that Buddy is one wonderful son and a credit to his parents. I am also a fan of Harry and Bess Houdini as well as Rudolph Valentino, but most of all I consider Dwight to be my sweet prince . I am also a fan of old time radio shows and I love to read (that's an understatement!) write, draw, paint and work with clay.

I must admit to a fascination with both men. My mother is a big Houdini fan and I have always been absolutely ENTRANCED by those blue blue eyes. Hypnotizing. God knows I can understand Miss Bess looking to hear from him again as well as expose those he fought so hard to debunk. As to Mr. Valentino......what can I say.....just mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I will gladly be the mysterious lady in black for that man. Glad to see you here MM. Stick around and post for sure!

Nice to meet you, and thank you very much, glad to be here . I have been a Houdini fan since forever, and got into Valentino in my twenties. I do have a habit of imagining Dwight dressed like the Sheik, wearing the costume Rudy wore when he "abducted" Agnes Ayres, WHOA. My good friend Leah once wrote a lovely birthday story for me, which featured our handsome Dwight dressed just that way-again, WHOA.

Hello ladies! I'm 32 and I live in the UK. I have been a fan of old black and white films since I was a little girl. I fell for Dwight after seeing his incredible performance in Dracula. At the time I was a huge fan of Bela's but it was Dwight's performance that really stood out to me. I'm just crazy about Dwight, I think he was incredibly talented and utterly adorable. I am also a huge fan of Rudy Valentino and my other favourite actors include Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Sr. and Orson Welles. I love the silent era, horror, film noir and comedies, especially by Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin or Harold Lloyd. I don't know anyone else who loves the oldies so I was delighted to find this wonderful place and am thrilled to meet all of you!
